KingHost + AI

Connect KingHost email to Claude,
Cursor, ChatGPT, any MCP client

Give your AI agent a real KingHost mailbox on your own domain. Read, search, send, reply, schedule and organize mail over IMAP, with one panel switch so that sending works from outside Brazil.

1 inbox free, forever Mailbox password, SMTPi enabled in the panel Email fetched live, never stored

Claude cannot reach a KingHost mailbox on its own. MCPEmails is a hosted MCP server that connects it over IMAP at imap.kinghost.net on port 993, authenticating with the full address and the mailbox password, so Claude, Cursor or any MCP client can read, search, send and organize that mail. Reading is straightforward. Sending needs one thing KingHost documents for anyone outside Brazil: its ordinary SMTP host answers only from Brazilian networks, so mail sent from elsewhere, which includes MCPEmails' servers, goes through SMTP Internacional at smtpi.kinghost.net, and that has to be switched on for your domain in the KingHost panel first. One inbox is free, forever.

How KingHost connects: IMAP on imap.kinghost.net, SMTP through SMTPi

KingHost documents IMAP at imap.kinghost.net on port 993 with SSL/TLS, and SMTP at smtp.kinghost.net on port 465 with SSL/TLS, with 143 and 587 as the unencrypted alternatives. Domains registered under a KingHost reseller use imap.uni5.net and smtp.uni5.net instead. The username is the full email address and the password is the one set on that mailbox. The catch is geography. KingHost's guides say that if you are outside Brazil you must use SMTPi, the SMTP Internacional service, and from here smtp.kinghost.net did not answer at all while smtpi.kinghost.net did. MCPEmails sends from servers in Europe, so the SMTPi host is the one this page publishes. It is not on by default: KingHost's panel has a switch for it per domain, and KingHost says the change takes 30 minutes to 2 hours to apply. Enabling it changes nothing about receiving mail or about sending from machines in Brazil.

The exact KingHost IMAP and SMTP settings

Copy these into the connect form. MCPEmails prefills them where it can, and retries the other standard transport if the first does not answer.

ProtocolServerPortSecurity
IMAP (incoming)imap.kinghost.net993TLS (implicit)
SMTP (outgoing)smtpi.kinghost.net465TLS (implicit)

Verified 2026-11-04: imap.kinghost.net answered a TLS connection and identified itself as an IMAP server under that name. It advertises LOGIN, PLAIN authentication.

What your AI can do

A KingHost inbox your agent can actually use

21 action-based MCP tools: send, reply, forward, schedule, and organize. Your agent finishes the job inside KingHost.

  1. 01Read

    Read & search mail

List, read and search across folders to find that invoice, summarize a thread, or pull the latest from a sender.

  2. 02Send

    Send, reply & forward

Compose and send real messages, reply in-thread, and forward, directly from your mailbox, not as a draft you finish by hand.

  3. 03Schedule

    Schedule for later

Queue a message to go out at the right time, so your agent can draft now and send on schedule.

  4. 04Organize

    Move, copy, flag, archive, delete

Keep the inbox tidy: file mail into folders, flag what matters, archive the rest, or delete on request.

Setup

Connect KingHost in four steps

From sign-up to first AI email in a couple of minutes.

01

Create your free MCPEmails account

Sign up at mcpemails.com. The free plan connects one inbox forever and asks for no card. Leave it open while you switch SMTPi on, because that part has a waiting time.

02

Enable SMTP Internacional for the domain in the KingHost panel

Open the KingHost Painel de Controle, select the domain, and go to the e-mail section. Click the SMTP INTERNACIONAL icon, then ATIVAR on the page that opens. KingHost says to allow 30 minutes to 2 hours before the change takes effect on the domain. Without this, sends from MCPEmails are refused, because KingHost's ordinary SMTP host does not answer from outside Brazil.

03

Enter the address and the mailbox password in MCPEmails

Choose IMAP / SMTP and enter the full address together with the password set on that mailbox in the KingHost panel, not your KingHost customer login. The incoming host imap.kinghost.net and the outgoing host smtpi.kinghost.net are prefilled and were confirmed from a live TLS connection. On a reseller domain, replace them with imap.uni5.net and smtpi.uni5.net.

04

Paste the MCP URL into your AI client

Drop https://mcpemails.com/api/mcp into Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT, authorize, and your agent can read, search, send, reply, forward, schedule and organize the KingHost mailbox.

ChatGPT

Use KingHost in ChatGPT

ChatGPT reaches KingHost through a custom MCP server, which you add on chatgpt.com with ChatGPT Go or a paid plan.

  1. Connect KingHost to MCPEmails with the steps above.
  2. On chatgpt.com, open Plugins, Personal, click Add, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Name it MCPEmails, paste https://mcpemails.com/api/mcp under Connection, choose OAuth, confirm, click Create as a plugin and sign in to MCPEmails.
  4. In a chat, type @ and pick MCPEmails. Do it again when a follow-up needs your mail.
Several mailboxes

Every KingHost mailbox your company runs, on one agent

If your company runs more than one address on KingHost, such as info@, sales@ and invoices@, connect each one to the same MCPEmails workspace. Your AI client then reaches all of them through the one MCP URL, in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other MCP client. Every tool call names the mailbox it acts on, each mailbox keeps its own sender name and signature, and a reply goes out through the mailbox it belongs to.

Free connects one mailbox, Personal three, Pro up to 10, and Business as many as you need, all on one login.

Before you start

What actually goes wrong with KingHost

The SMTP host in KingHost's guides is unreachable from outside Brazil

KingHost's setup articles name smtp.kinghost.net on port 465. From our servers that host did not answer on 465 or 587: the connection timed out rather than being refused, which is the signature of a network that only admits Brazilian traffic. KingHost's own SMTPi article says as much: outside Brazil, SMTP Internacional is mandatory. An agent that sends through MCPEmails is outside Brazil whatever your own location is, so use smtpi.kinghost.net, and make sure SMTPi is switched on for the domain, or every send hangs until it times out.

The switch is per domain, and it takes up to two hours

SMTPi is enabled in the KingHost panel for each domain separately, under the e-mail section, with the SMTP INTERNACIONAL icon and the ATIVAR button. KingHost says the change takes between 30 minutes and 2 hours to apply. A send attempted in that window fails in the same way as before the switch, so if sending still does not work right after you enabled it, wait rather than change settings. Receiving mail and sending from Brazilian machines are unaffected either way.

Reseller domains use uni5.net, not kinghost.net

A domain registered under a KingHost reseller account (Revenda) lives on a different cluster, and KingHost's guides give it its own names: imap.uni5.net for incoming mail and smtpi.uni5.net for SMTPi, with the same ports. The kinghost.net names are not aliases for those, so a reseller customer who copies the hosts from this page connects to the wrong servers. Ask whoever sold you the hosting whether the domain is on a reseller plan if you are not sure.

No MOVE and no SPECIAL-USE, so folders are matched by name

The Dovecot server behind imap.kinghost.net advertises IDLE but neither MOVE, UIDPLUS nor SPECIAL-USE. Filing a message runs as a copy, a flag update and an expunge rather than one command, and the sent, drafts and trash folders are identified by their names rather than by a role the server declares. If an agent files something in the wrong place, name the folder in the instruction.

Known limits with KingHost

  • Sending requires SMTP Internacional to be enabled for the domain in the KingHost panel. Until it is, sends from MCPEmails fail, and KingHost's ordinary SMTP host cannot be used from outside Brazil.
  • Because the server does not advertise MOVE, a move is not atomic. If a connection drops mid-operation a message can briefly exist in both folders.
  • The SMTPi server accepts messages up to 60 MB. A forward carrying larger attachments is refused at send time.
FAQ

KingHost and AI: common questions

Does Claude work with KingHost email?

Not on its own. Claude has no built-in KingHost connector and cannot open an IMAP connection by itself. Connecting an MCP server such as MCPEmails to the mailbox over IMAP gives Claude read, search, send, reply, forward, schedule and organize access to it, and the same connection works from Cursor, ChatGPT and other MCP clients.

What are the KingHost IMAP and SMTP settings?

IMAP is imap.kinghost.net on port 993 with SSL/TLS. For sending from outside Brazil, which is where MCPEmails runs, SMTP is smtpi.kinghost.net on port 465 with SSL/TLS, after SMTP Internacional is enabled for the domain in the panel. KingHost's guides give smtp.kinghost.net for clients inside Brazil. Reseller domains use imap.uni5.net and smtpi.uni5.net. Both published hosts were confirmed from a live TLS connection on the date shown on this page.

Why can MCPEmails read my KingHost mail but not send?

Because SMTP Internacional is not enabled for the domain, or has been enabled for less than two hours. KingHost's ordinary SMTP host does not answer from outside Brazil, and sends from MCPEmails come from Europe. Open the KingHost panel, select the domain, go to the e-mail section, click SMTP INTERNACIONAL and then ATIVAR, and allow up to two hours.

Does enabling SMTPi change how I receive mail?

No. KingHost states that enabling or disabling SMTP Internacional affects neither receiving nor sending from machines located in Brazil. It only opens the smtpi host for authenticated sending from elsewhere.

Does KingHost need an app password?

No. KingHost has no app-specific password scheme. The password set on the mailbox in the panel authenticates both IMAP and SMTP.

Is my KingHost mail stored on your servers?

No. Messages are fetched live from KingHost over IMAP for each request and passed to your AI client. Credentials are encrypted at rest and message bodies are not retained.

Can I connect several KingHost mailboxes to the same AI agent?

Yes. Connect each KingHost address to one MCPEmails workspace and your AI client reaches all of them through the same MCP URL. Every tool call names the mailbox it acts on, so a reply to a message in sales@ goes out from sales@. Free connects one mailbox, Personal three, Pro up to 10, and Business as many as you need.

Can ChatGPT read my KingHost mail?

Yes, once KingHost is connected to MCPEmails. On chatgpt.com, add a custom MCP server with the URL https://mcpemails.com/api/mcp and OAuth sign-in. That works with ChatGPT Go and paid plans. ChatGPT gets only the access you approve, and your mail is fetched live, never stored.
