Hostinger + AI

Connect Hostinger to Claude,
and Cursor, ChatGPT, any MCP client

Give your AI agent a real Hostinger inbox in minutes. Read, search, send, reply, schedule and organize mail with IMAP and your mailbox password, and use the same inbox in every MCP client, not just one.

Claude cannot reach Hostinger on its own. mcpemails is a hosted MCP server that connects it over IMAP using your mailbox password, so Claude, Cursor or any MCP client can read, search, send and organize that mail. Setup takes a couple of minutes and one inbox is free.

How Hostinger connects: IMAP and your mailbox password

Hostinger Email connects over IMAP/SMTP with the mailbox password you set in hPanel under Emails. There is no app password and no OAuth step. The hosts are imap.hostinger.com and smtp.hostinger.com for every domain, so there is nothing to look up.

The exact Hostinger IMAP and SMTP settings

Copy these into the connect form. mcpemails prefills them where it can, and retries the other standard transport if the first does not answer.

IMAP (incoming)imap.hostinger.com993TLS (implicit)
SMTP (outgoing)smtp.hostinger.com465TLS (implicit)

Verified 2026-08-31: imap.hostinger.com answered a TLS connection and identified itself as an IMAP server under that name. It advertises LOGIN, PLAIN authentication.

What your AI can do

A Hostinger inbox your agent can actually use

Nine action-based MCP tools: send, reply, forward, schedule, and organize. Your agent finishes the job inside Hostinger.

  1. 01Read

    Read & search mail

List, read and search across folders to find that invoice, summarize a thread, or pull the latest from a sender.

  2. 02Send

    Send, reply & forward

Compose and send real messages, reply in-thread, and forward, directly from your mailbox, not as a draft you finish by hand.

  3. 03Schedule

    Schedule for later

Queue a message to go out at the right time, so your agent can draft now and send on schedule.

  4. 04Organize

    Move, copy, flag, archive, delete

Keep the inbox tidy: file mail into folders, flag what matters, archive the rest, or delete on request.

Setup

Connect Hostinger in four steps

From sign-up to first AI email in a couple of minutes.

01

Create a free account

Sign up for mcpemails, no card required. The free plan connects one inbox, forever.

02

Get your Hostinger mailbox password

In hPanel, open Emails, pick the address and set or reset its password. That password is what mcpemails authenticates with.

03

Paste it into mcpemails

Choose IMAP / SMTP, add your Hostinger address, the hosts below and the password to connect the inbox securely.

04

Paste the MCP URL into your AI

Drop https://mcpemails.com/api/mcp into Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT, authorize, and your agent has the inbox.

What actually goes wrong with Hostinger

Hostinger has two mail platforms, and which one you have depends on when you bought

Hostinger Email is Hostinger's own platform, documented at imap.hostinger.com on 993 and smtp.hostinger.com on 465, with pop.hostinger.com on 995 for POP3. Hostinger's Business Email and Enterprise Email plans are powered by Titan and answer on imap.titan.email and smtp.titan.email instead, where Hostinger documents 993 for IMAP and 465 or 587 for SMTP. Nothing about the address tells you which you have. hPanel does: open Emails, click Manage next to the domain and choose Connect Apps & Devices, which prints the values for the platform that mailbox is actually on. For a Titan mailbox, the same values also appear in Titan Webmail under Settings, then Configure 3rd party apps.

The mailbox password is not your hPanel login, and 2FA changes it again

IMAP authenticates against the password set on the individual email address, which you set or reset in hPanel under Emails and the mailbox list. Your Hostinger account login, the one that manages hosting and billing, is a different credential and is rejected. Hostinger also documents that the password is the mailbox password or an app password if the mailbox uses two-factor authentication, so a mailbox with 2FA switched on needs the app password rather than the one you set. Both failures arrive as a plain authentication error.

The SMTP server caps a message at roughly 46 MB, which is smaller than most

Hostinger's submission server advertises a maximum message size of 48,811,212 bytes, about 46 MB. That is the size of the encoded message, not of your file, and MIME encoding inflates an attachment by roughly a third, so the practical ceiling is closer to 34 MB of actual attachment. It is a noticeably lower limit than several other hosts advertise, and an agent that tries to forward a large attachment gets a hard refusal at submission time rather than a bounce later. Send a link instead when a file is near that size.

Hostinger Email omits MOVE, UIDPLUS and SPECIAL-USE

The greeting advertises SASL-IR, IDLE, LITERAL+, AUTH=PLAIN and AUTH=LOGIN, but not MOVE, UIDPLUS or SPECIAL-USE. Moving a message is therefore performed as a copy, a flag update and an expunge rather than one atomic command, the identifier of the copy is not reported back and has to be found by searching the destination folder, and Sent, Drafts, Trash and Junk are matched by name rather than by role. If an agent cannot find your archive folder on a Hostinger mailbox, name the folder explicitly and it will.

Known limits with Hostinger

  • Outgoing messages are capped at roughly 46 MB encoded, so an attachment much over about 34 MB is refused at submission.
  • Because MOVE is not advertised, a move is not atomic. If a connection drops part way through, a message can exist briefly in both folders.
  • Business and Enterprise Email plans run on Titan rather than Hostinger's own platform and use the Titan hostnames. Take the settings from Connect Apps and Devices for the mailbox you are connecting.
FAQ

Hostinger and AI: common questions

Does Claude work with Hostinger email?

Not on its own. Claude has no built-in Hostinger connector. Connecting an MCP server such as mcpemails to the mailbox over IMAP gives Claude read, search, send, reply, schedule and organize access to it, and the same connection then works from Cursor, ChatGPT and other MCP clients rather than just one.

What are the Hostinger IMAP and SMTP settings?

For Hostinger Email, IMAP is imap.hostinger.com on port 993 with SSL and SMTP is smtp.hostinger.com on port 465 with SSL, with 587 and STARTTLS documented as the outgoing alternative. The username is your full email address. Both hosts were confirmed from a live TLS connection on the date shown on this page.

How do I find my Hostinger email settings in hPanel?

Open Emails in hPanel, click Manage next to the domain, and choose Connect Apps and Devices from the sidebar. That screen has guided tabs for individual applications and the raw server settings underneath. It prints the values for the platform your mailbox is actually on, which matters if you are on a Titan-based plan.

Why is my Hostinger email password rejected?

Usually because you used your Hostinger account login rather than the password set on the email address itself. Reset the mailbox password in hPanel under Emails and try that. If the mailbox has two-factor authentication enabled, Hostinger requires an app password for mail clients instead, and the refusal looks identical to a wrong password.

What if my plan uses Titan Email?

Then the Hostinger hostnames do not apply. Titan-powered Business and Enterprise Email mailboxes use imap.titan.email on 993 and smtp.titan.email on 465 or 587. Take the exact values from Connect Apps and Devices in hPanel, or from Settings, then Configure 3rd party apps, inside Titan Webmail.

Is my Hostinger mail stored on your servers?

No. Messages are fetched live from Hostinger over IMAP for each request and handed to your AI client. Credentials are encrypted at rest and message bodies are not retained.
